- Francium is the biggest element with the lowest IE and EN because it is a very heavy alkali metal that has the most shells yet it has the fewest protons of the entire row in the periodic table. Also, Fr is in the bottom of all alkali metals; IE and EN increases as you move right towards the periodic table.
- Helium is the smallest element with the highest IE because it has the strongest attraction to its electrons and has an electron affinity of less than zero. It would take more energy to detach an electron from noble gases. Because it is the smallest element, it holds it electrons the tightest
- Noble gases don't have EN values because they have a full valence shell, are stable, and are electrically neutral. Thus they are unreactive, and so don't have electronegativity values.
- Fluorine has the highest EN because it is the furthest element moving left to right, and also the furthest element moving from bottom to top.It is more likely to gain an electron, making it the most reactive element.

Element #17 CHLORINE
1. People from foreign countries pronounce chlorine differently from one another. Chlorine is pronounced Chlore in France, Chlor in Germany, and Chloro in Italian.
2. Here's some examples of chlorine
3. Protons:17 Neutrons:18. Naturally occurring isotopes are chlorine-35 and chlorine-37. Natural abundance is 75.7%. Average atomic mass is 35.4 g

4. # of electrons:17 # of shells are 2,8,7
5. my Atomic radius is 79 pm
6. melting point: 171.6 K, boiling point: 239.11, Thermal conductivity: 0.0089 W, Velocity of Sound: 206 m
7. Body: 103.5g Earth's Crust: 170,000 Universe: 100 ppb
8. Compounds I form include Chlorine Dioxide, Chlorine Fluoride, Chlorine trifluoride, and chlorine pentafluoride.
9. I was found by Carl Wilhelm Scheele in 1774. He obtained it through the reaction of the mineral pyrolusite (manganese dioxide, MnO2) with hydrochloric acid (HCl, then known as muriatic acid). Scheele thought the resulting gas contained oxygen.
10. My roles in human society are irritates mucous membranes, kills bacteria in water, and was used as a gas in war

Who's Matt???
Welcome to My Blog
What's up? What made you read my page? Well, since you're here I might as well introduce myself. My name is Matt Sael. I've been alive on Earth for 14 years already. I'm a sophomore at Mills and is also a part of the JV Football team.
What I Love
There are a variety of things I love or love to do in my life. I enjoy hanging with friends, listening to music, sleeping, eating, playing sports, using the computer, and shopping. Things I like include music, shoes, clothes, hats, food, sports, friends, and family.
What I Dream To Accomplish
Unfortunately, I still don't know what career I want to take up after high school. I plan to become a writer, yet my family thinks I could take up a better career. My main goal in life is to be a successful person in life who everyone doesn't look down on.
